Zoning & Land Use Change That Could Affect Cypress Knoll!
by Carol Gunthorpe and John Caruso

On September 9, 2008, the Bunnell Planning Board recommended “Approval - With Conditions” to change the zoning and land use from Residential to Commercial B-1 for an approximately 9-acre portion of two parcels of land south of Egret Trail and Easthampton Boulevard in Cypress Knoll.

It was stated at the above meeting that the Planning Board’s “Approval - With Conditions” is considered a recommendation ---and the “Final Approval” rests with the Bunnell City Commission.

The Cypress Knoll Community Association will be notified of the date of the Bunnell City Commission’s hearing regarding this change. It is hoped that the Community Association will also be provided with the “…Conditions” in written form before the hearing date.

When the Cypress Knoll Community Association receives information on the date and the “…Conditions,” Cypress Knoll residents will be notified through our Block Captain system and our website.

Please make every effort to attend the Bunnell City Commission hearing concerning this change and voice your concerns.

Many, many thanks go out to the more than 100 residents that attended the September 9, 2008 Bunnell Planning Board Meeting. Your presence was greatly appreciated --- and yet another example of --- WHAT A GREAT COMMUNITY WE HAVE HERE IN CYPRESS KNOLL! If you have any questions, please call or e-mail.
